Joe Phillips

Joe Phillips is a zoologist, entrepreneur, and business strategist whose journey spans from the African savannah to The Apprentice boardroom. After earning a 1st class BSc in Zoology from Exeter and specializing in Ethology at Oxford, he worked with anti-poaching units in South Africa and later transitioned into business.


Joe founded Surf Balm, a sustainable cosmetics brand that grew from a university bedroom to 100+ retailers across the UK, Europe, and South Africa, landing him a spot on BBC One’s The Apprentice, where he pitched to Lord Sugar. He has since worked at P&G and now helps global enterprises unlock C-level growth strategies at GDS.

Samuel Brooksworth is a British-Ghanaian entrepreneur and CEO of Remoteli, a tech-led staffing business connecting global companies with top talent.
